Featured Project: DOST–PAGASA – Multi-Display Visualization System
The Challenge
As the national meteorological agency, DOST–PAGASA relies on continuous monitoring of satellite imagery, radar data, weather models, and climate information. Their analysts needed a large, reliable display solution that would make these data sources easier to interpret and present during daily operations and weather briefings.
The goal:
Enhance visibility, improve workflow efficiency, and support real-time weather assessment — without changing any of PAGASA’s operational systems or processes.
The AVLS Solution
AVLS supplied and installed a professional multi-display visualization system designed for scientific monitoring environments. All work was implemented in coordination with Japan Radio Co. Ltd., ensuring alignment with PAGASA’s operational requirements.
Large-Format Display Wall
- A tiled arrangement of 8 professional 55” displays
Provides clear visibility for satellite loops, rainfall updates, storm trajectories, and forecast models.
Precision Mounting & Structural Integration
- Heavy-duty videowall mounts ensuring accurate alignment
- Service-friendly installation for long-term maintenance
Unified Signal Extension & Connectivity
- HDMI-over-network extenders for stable long-distance transmission
- Network switching to support device communication
- Structured cabling and terminations handled by AVLS
This ensures that data from operator workstations reaches the display wall cleanly and reliably.
Professional Deployment & Testing
AVLS delivered all engineering and integration services including:
- On-site mounting and fabrication
- Cable routing and labeling
- System testing and verification
- Handover to the Japan Radio Co. Ltd. and PAGASA teams
Outcome
PAGASA now benefits from:
- Improved visibility of real-time meteorological data
- More efficient analysis and reporting
- A modernized display environment that supports daily monitoring and public weather advisories
- Stable, reliable performance suitable for continuous operational use
This visualization system enhances how weather information is monitored and interpreted — helping PAGASA deliver accurate forecasts that protect communities nationwide.
AVLS is proud to support PAGASA’s mission by providing a dependable, high-clarity visualization solution for weather monitoring. This project, delivered in partnership with Japan Radio Co. Ltd., demonstrates AVLS’ capability to integrate professional display systems for scientific and technical environments.
