Job Summary

Technical Support Technician II is responsible for the accurate diagnosis, repair, testing,
and preventive maintenance of audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal functionality,
safety, and reliability. The role supports both in-house workshop operations and on-site
service requirements, including warranty repairs, refurbishment, and technical quality
assurance for deployed AV systems across multiple client projects.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty AV equipment such as LED walls and modules,
  • displays, projectors, amplifiers, speakers, mixers, microphones, control processors, and signal distribution devices.
  • Perform component-level and unit-level repairs including soldering, board-level replacement, wiring corrections, and firmware updates where applicable.
  • Conduct post-repair testing, calibration, and quality assurance checks to ensure equipment meets operational and manufacturer standards.
  • Accurately document repair activities through service reports, repair logs, testing records, and warranty documentation.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend product lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support and repair guidance to field technicians and installation teams.
  • Comply with safety procedures, ESD protocols, and company quality standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma, vocational training, or associate degree in Electronics, AV Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in AV equipment repair, electronics servicing, or related technical repair work.
  • Strong technical knowledge in AV systems, electronics troubleshooting, and signal flow.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical bulletins.
  • Willingness to be assigned to different clients and project sites.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and carry AV equipment and components within safety limits.
  • Willingness to work in workshop, warehouse, and on-site client environments.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
