In line with the efforts of the local government, the 70-year-old historical landmark which is the Manila Metropolitan Theater underwent restoration since 2016. The cinema system of the theater was designed by award winning sound designer Albert Michael Idioma, and AVLS won the public bidding for the supply, delivery and integration of the system.
The system is composed of a state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos cinema surround system – powered by numerous speakers spread out across the cinema walls and ceiling; a powerful Christie 4k digital cinema projector and a 14 meter by 6 meter Harkness cinema grade Projection Screen.
The theater will be a home to new cultural events starting 2021.
